The Sunset As Seen Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Sunset As Seen

The sunset was of yellow orange flare
And will continue for
As long as the creation is,
This the eternal truth
And so as usually
The red disc of the sun
Will come breaking, glowing, flashing upon
At dawn break
And similarly we shall start the day
To pass by as forenoon, afternoon
And it will be finally the twilight
Going by
With the shepherds
At some distance
On the close-by highlands
Readying to take their herds
Of sheep and cattle home,
Homewards
After making them drink water
At the water bodies
As the dusk seems to be approaching nearer
Coming to knock at door
And the sun too descending,
On the retreat
And it growing opaque
With the footfall of
The silent and darker night.
