The Sure Foundation
The Sure Foundation
Thank You for the sure foundation
Found within Thy Word
That I can rest upon Your faithfulness
And of blessings be assured
Heaven bound and by your Spirit
Living now on high
Enjoying in you sweet, sweet, fellowship
That only you can supply
When I have some days like Job
I'm tempted to complain
But then I remind myself
There's power in Jesus name
And prayer becomes a friend again
I tell myself "Just pray! "
And sure enough after awhile
My problems fade away
God of great compassion
God of endless love
Who continually pours out mercy
From Thy Throne above
Draw all men unto Thyself
From every tongue, tribe, and nation
That they may come to the acknowledgement
You are earth's Sure Foundation!

Foundation laid in the word of love is interesting and this is really very strong. God is ocean of love and his love is endless. He continuously pours mercy on all souls. A nice and deeply philosophical poem is well penned.10
