The sweet tune of the birds,
The humming buzz of the bees,
The hymn of the angels,
All is the melody of the soul.
The sugar, the nectar pure,
The milk of the cow, so pure,
The glow of the stars,
All is the melody of the soul.
The sky and earth so wide,
The ocean deep and vast,
The universe whole,
Is the melody of the soul.
Neither earth nor sky
Could embody me,
Neither star nor road could.
No sweetness nor art,
No music nor dance,
Can define me. I am soul,
Beyond you—
beyond your perception.
Neither mountains
Could bear my weight,
Nor oceans nor seas.
Neither angels nor djinn
Could know my purpose,
Could know my essence.
I am soul,
Beyond you—
beyond your comprehension.
Only God knows, for
I am His breath,
And He sent me to earth.
Hu am I, and know I am Hu.
I am soul,
Beyond you—
beyond your comprehension.
This creation, and humankind,
Are but the tune of the soul,
The melody of the soul.
