The Tale Of A Teenage Stage Star Poem by Montgomery C

The Tale Of A Teenage Stage Star

Rating: 5.0

It's coming almost two years since I have graced the stage
With the white lights shining down onto me
Remembering each line from the old script page
Let it be a classic, like Shakespeare of the Greek Odyssey
Or a modern production so new and fresh
If it hales from the West End, Broadway, Hollywood or Asia
I can't believe I haven't returned to the stage door
For my studies require me more and more
Yet as I look back at old production notes
And my imagination floats
I know in my mind that I will return one day
Not knowing if the job will come with any pay
Nevertheless, money is not my key motivation
I just wish to entertain your hearts leaving no artistic salvation

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem is true to my life, as I have not returned to fulfil my love for acting due to my pressing scholarly requirements, yet towards the end of this year and in the new one I hope to return to home in drama.
