Closure Of An Envelope Poem by Montgomery C

Closure Of An Envelope

Rating: 5.0

I choose to write now for memory
For the gifts and for treasured words, ideally lasting a while
The words so genuinely heartfelt
I long to leave their intended readers with a smile
I hope they find this little piece of me
With all its intended humour, nuance, and sincerity
But as I part ways with them and this chapter of my life closes
So too does the envelope so important
Yet some see it as worthless.

Part 2. Loved the presentation of this fact with the metaphor of a closed envelope. Loved it. Dear poet, keep it up and share more of your poems. Thank You.

Wow! Dear poet, welcome to The PoemHunter Community. Loved this marvellous piece of poetry. You have captured a most pertinent and power nuance of human life… of the power of effective communication.
