The Talking Tall Turtle Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Talking Tall Turtle

Aranda walks like she is about to fall.
She talks tough; she wants to be seen tall.
We know that’s impossible for a turtle,
To be aggressive, ambitious, and subtle.

Kids laugh from afar and adults frown,
She naturally behaves like an irate clown.
She divides. In reality, she does not believe in unity.
Forgetting one’s past is the first step toward infamy.

Nobody would enjoy making fun at an obvious stranger,
With a sad smile, a funny laugh, and an awful demeanor.
However, this situation is unusual, and this creature is unique.

Aranda walks like she is about to fall.
“She is not smart enough”, said one critic,
To be mistaken for an erring nerd in the mall.
