The Talking With The Clock By Rasul Gamzatov

The talking with the clock

I am and the watch is in the home. We are alone.
Reaching the bell minutes,
The watch struck the midnight as a copper do
And asked:
- Why you are not sleep?

- This is the guilty of the sinful women:
She has struck the offense to me
On the eve of the today's night,
This is the cause to sleep I have not a power.

The responded watch is in the silence:
- Forever it happened in the life.
The woman sees in a delightful dream,
How you are not sleep, devoid a rest....

I am and the watch is in the home. We are alone.
Reaching the bell minutes,
The watch struck the midnight as a copper do
And asked:
- Why you are not sleep?

- How to sleep, if that woman is darling
And have the sinless earth soul,
I was offended her
Inadvertently before the evening.

- Do not torture. It is happened suddenly
The guilty man lost a dream.
And he do not knew that he is forgiven,
That the reason of the sadness is disappeared.

I am and the watch is in the house. We are alone
On the midnight out a freedom...
The fate do the guard from the offend,
And don't give me a role of an offender.
