The Tempters Weave A Veil Of Lies Poem by Mohammad Younus

The Tempters Weave A Veil Of Lies

The tempters weave a veil of lies,
A shimmering mist where falsehoods rise.
Their words, like honey, drip with charm,
Yet hide the fangs that seek to harm.
They paint the world in gilded hues,
A fleeting dream we're born to lose.
Their call is sweet, yet laced with dread,
A siren's song that leaves souls dead.

But soft, beneath the clamor's din,
A gentler voice calls from within.
Not loud, nor brash, but steady, clear,
It speaks of truths the heart holds dear.
A whisper pure, a guiding light,
It cuts through shadows, pierces night.
It bids us rise, to seek, to see,
The path that leads to liberty.

Two voices clash—one dark, one bright,
One shrouds in fear, one bathes in light.
The first entices, lures, betrays,
The second heals, restores, conveys.
One binds the soul in chains of doubt,
The other sets the spirit out.
One thrives where shadows twist and bend,
The other walks where virtues mend.

The choice is ours, the fork is near,
Each step a test, each path unclear.
Will we succumb to hollow cries,
Or heed the truth that never dies?
The tempter's snare or wisdom's call—
Which voice, dear soul, shall claim us all?

For in the end, the truth will stand,
Unshaken by the tempter's hand.
And those who choose the purer way,
Shall find the dawn of endless day.
So listen close, let wisdom lead,
And from the whispers, take your creed.
For in the echoes, clear and sweet,
Lies truth that makes the soul complete.
