The Threat Of Though Poem by Mikel Calcagno

The Threat Of Though

Endless Amends
Endless Abyss
SECURITY
It's the least discerning place we can die
Toss all your failures at the earth
From a fault that knew hate at work, but love as a sin
What I face today is nothing
End it all simply to ascend
Permeated my tongue to taste my own normalcy
Irrational thoughts condescend
Then shape their taste
Climb up your pedestal and cry denial
Spread yourself so thin
Open wide and remember
as we stab ourselves just the same
WE RISE AND FALL
FOR PRIDE AND GAIN
Protect our minds aside
Our thoughts crawling back to sea
When I speak, it's pushed against the surge of waves that drown me UNDERNEATH
Claiming less is more
Never knew what to say
Suffer against the threat of words
NEVER AGAIN will I speak or find the air to scream THE WORLDS LIES...
The threat of thought is a gift, not a vice to which only the illiterate suffer...
