The Throne Of Living Truth Poem by Yousif Ibrahim Abubaker Abdalla

The Throne Of Living Truth

Don't let anyone sway your curious mind into fear,
Thinking that faith and progress are at odds;
Because truth and reason often walk hand in hand,
And together, they spark the steady flame of wisdom.
Some folks anchor their beliefs to mere words,
Mistaking silence for the essence of true devotion;
But living thought elevates ancient truths to a throne,
Rescuing the soul from ignorance and despair.
Dive into every realm where human thought can thrive
In science, crafts, and the arts that shape our era;
For those who seek knowledge plant the seeds for tomorrow
And pen the hopes of the future on today's pages.
The lost can't guide the way ahead;
An empty hand can't offer even a crumb.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The Throne of Living Truth POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM: This poem was crafted on Sunday, March 15,2026. In this sonnet, I explore the beautiful balance between faith and the quest for knowledge. Too often, these two are pitted against each other, as if belief has to step aside whenever reason takes the stage. Yet, if we look back through history, we see that some of humanity's most remarkable breakthroughs have emerged from minds that embraced both reverence and curiosity. The poem takes on two extreme viewpoints: the idea that faith and progress can't coexist, and the rigid belief that faith should be a lifeless routine devoid of reflection or inquiry. Instead, it proposes that vibrant thought can breathe new life into ancient wisdom, allowing truth to steer humanity through the ever-changing landscape of time. By promoting the pursuit of knowledge in science, craftsmanship, and the arts, the poem urges readers especially the younger generation to nurture minds that are eager to learn, question, and create. After all, the future is shaped by those who seek understanding, and a generation that dives deep into learning becomes the fertile ground from which tomorrow's hopes can flourish.
