The Thrushes Poem by Gert Strydom

The Thrushes

Rating: 4.0

When the female thrush is busy with insects
while teasingly she walks ahead
the male tries to make eyes at her.
When the female thrush is busy with insects
infatuated the male protects her,
spreading his wings full of hope,
when the female thrush is busy with insects
while teasingly she walks ahead.
