The Time Machine

Rating: 5.0
If I had a time machine where would I go?
Away into the future to see how humanity fared
Against wars, global warming and viruses.
Back in time over the ages seeking great men and women
Famous in history who helped build a better world?
No, I would return to the days of childhood
Waking on a Christmas morning with presents
Hearing laughter of my brother and parents
Being innocent and loving with many years to go.
Happiness is fleeting and we so often fail to see it
Until it has come and gone and only memories remain.
Oh, how I long to be young again free and joyful
Running free on summer days through sunlit woods
With friends long gone but not forgot.

I am happy as I am now, every day fresh air breathing and giving lectures to my students, conversing with them through o.n.l.i.n.e. But your standpoint I can understand fully.5 Stars Full and to my Favourites
