The Ukrainian Counter Offensive Is Moving Poem by Gert Strydom

Three Russian battalion tactical groups:
including armour and Spetznaz are surrounded
as the counter offensive Kherson recoups,
at Vysokopilla these Russians are grounded,

where two thousand ask for a 'green corridor, '
but from attack can find no kind of escape,
are driven back from where they had been before,
while the offensive in two directions reshape:

from Olhyne to Kostyrka where gun-ships attack
their Russian own and one is shot from the sky,
Potyomkine to Novovoznesenske that attract
another Ka-52 that to its death does fly

and across the Inhulets the Ukraine
at Arkhanhelske does encirclement gain.

At the Antonovskiy Bridge there is a ferry
that the Russians are now forced to use,
and HIMARS to the Russians are scary:
a pontoon bridge will be hit when the Ukraine
choose,

where in vane the Russians are building it
while most anti-aircraft guns and missiles are
gone,
an S-300 battery was at Zelenotropindsk hit,
Ukrainian aircraft are strafing military bases on

Nova Kakhovska and over the Kherson territory,
while Russian battalions are cut off, isolated,
are being surrounded and without inventory
and the Russian equipment have become dated,

where without destroying each city and town
Russians must surrender or they are taken down.

[Poet's notes: the Inhulets is the name of a river. Spetznaz is here Russian special-forces. The Ukraine has also got Spetznaz. S-300 battery
refers to a battery of anti-air missiles
that the Russians are now also using for
ground to ground attack that is not very
accurate for this goal and do hit civilian
targets time and again.]
