The Unforgettable Poem by Somanathan Iyer

The Unforgettable

Rating: 4.0

A chilly night
much before sleep
lured to her embrace
you and I
sitting on the parapet
of balcony
munching the snacks
engaged in musings
the moon was bright
but clouds were out
to obstruct her light
playing hide and seek
with the shying moon
blowing was a breeze
neither gentle nor strong
making the night
much more colder
busy you were
combing the hairs
that covered your face
due to the winds
appeared to me prettiest
your face than ever before
invoking a desire
to hug you tight
a call for dinner
blunted the plan
which remains
always an unforgettable memoir
