The United Nations Beats Swords Into Ploughshares Poem by Terence George Craddock

The United Nations Beats Swords Into Ploughshares

outside the United Nations building there is a wonderful
sculpture a man beating a sword into a ploughshare it is
a myth of course the United Nations never beats swords
into ploughshares it is a myth of course the United Nations
were never united nations it is a myth of course the United
Nations never establishes world peace a few powerful countries
have the magic veto pass these countries can veto attempts
to stop any wars it is a myth of course the United Nations

does not stand for peace but a major power statis quo
the United Nations has its own army they are peacekeepers
the United Nations its own army weapons soldiers soldiers
with blue helmets and white tanks but their weapons still
go bang bang bang can kill they are not firing rubber bullets
United Nations peacekeepers fire live rounds in peace attempts
