The Unknown Land Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Unknown Land

Land of unknown

Not a day has passed
When I have not missed
It was your decision
With desert me and leave in isolation

I accepted your wish
And finished it with no stroke
I was prepared to face worst fate
But you cared not to state

Well, go by your conscious
And become famous
For torturing innocent soul
I shall face the wall

I need not climb
The ladder and curse womb
I shall die childless
But bring no shame on face

I am no inhuman
But simple woman
Who shall stand of her own?
And swim across to the land of unknown
