The Unseen Poem by Fallen Angel

The Unseen

i saw a dirty blur on the street
hungry stomach, dirty feet
filthy skin, cold hard eyes
grubby hands, pain inside
no love left for the world or sea
it pulled a heartstring inside of me
i dug in my purse and ran to find her
i gave ten dollars and stood behind her
she looked at me and smiled with cheer
i realized-she couldn't see!
but wait-whats this?
did i just feel an angels kiss?
i looked down again but she was gone
and with that i knew she was not a girl but a pawn
she was meant to see who would take the time
to love and give to one less gifted-an emotion sublime
i was the one the chosen one to save the poor soul
who was so sad and was so cold
before she went i thought i saw a flurry of feathers
a third time i looked down and what i saw made it all better
one white feather, pure as snow
and i knew it was time to go
i walked away with a smile on my face
i was blessed with heavenly grace
now she is warm and white above
and i am brimming full of love
although the world is cold and dark
i can shine and i leave my mark
i am content now that im sure
i am white and clean and pure
because of the girl, the angel i met
is smiling down on me with sight i bet
this can show that if you care
you'll be rewarded by someone up there
