Love Was But A Shelter
in wich we could close
the hard world out
in there time froze
-sheer happiness without doubt
Our Relationship A Cocoon
of warmth and questionlessness
but as soon as the bubble broke
we became a complete mess
-our reliable habits made me choke
And There Was No Such Thing
as the perfect love(affair)
only tons of wasted emotions
and my seemingly endless despair
-the unsure factor X of devotion
Because All That We Were
was letters and numbers
in an equation that was over due
another pair of quiet mumblers
-constantly reassured by the words 'I love you'
