The Vagaries Of Migrant Workers- A Saga Of Woes Untold

The vagaries of life,
Where have they brought to,
The migrant workers
Taking the journey back home
On foot,
A long way to go
Without money and livelihood?

Is this the India we intended to build,
Did we get independence for all that?
Are they men
And for what are they there stranding?

Going on the path of life just like
The caravans of refugees,
Just like the nomads, the nomadic people
And the gypsies going,
The hungry and thirsty jobless people.

Wanting to return homes
And that too without trains and buses
As these lie cancelled and stopped,
And they have to return homes
And on finding it not the conveyance
They undertaking to reach on foot.
