The Voice

I have a voice inside my head
Who tells me what to do and see
Who tells me what to fear and dread
And wants to be let free
Free of me!
But it can't get out
I don't know why
The voice wanders about without a doubt
Like a lost soul without a reason why
And I too want the voice to say, 'Good-bye'
