The Void Poem by Vera Sidhwa

The Void

The Void

The void was my friend,
Nothing came close to it.
The void encompassed everything,
Because out of it came everything and anything.

The lotus position of the Gautama Buddha,
Was the Nirvana void of humankind.
Buddha's teaching post void were one of a kind.
His followers were astounded by his knowledge.

If used for useful purposes and mindfulness,
The void could be used to solve earth's maladies,
Especially the unique malady,
That each eachmind lives in.

I call upon the void everyday,
And this meditation takes me a long way.
It quiets my mind from it's everyday prison.
Well, the void's the way to get out of it.
