The Waiting Game Poem by Dean Simpson

The Waiting Game

Im sat here waiting for you
I'll wait for eternity if i have to
I dream of being yours after our first kiss
It meant so much in those few seconds it happened.

Fallen from view i once was
But not anymore
Riding high above the sky line
Im in the clouds with you.

You took my heart with just one kiss
Is not strong enough a phrase
You caught me in my weakest moment
And now all i think of is you.

Caught like a photograph
Your trapped forever in my heart
I love the way we do things
Like nobody's there.

The way we play like the worlds our own
Nobody there to stop us
You take my hips in a playful way
I love the way it feels on my body.

The smile you give makes me shiver inside
Like a sharp object against my heart
The look you give me when we laugh together
Makes it all seem clear again, your here for me.

The waiting game has to be played
I know i have to wait for you
You love me and i love you too
Things will be right when we make it for real.

I cant wait to be with you again
The next will be just the same
I'll smile inside when i see your face
And you'll smile inside too.
