An interesting piece
Of wallpaper
With a lovely floral
Still-life design
Covers the wall.
It sings of beauty
With colorful refrain.
And demanding attention,
It speaks upon every glance.
Four colors for four of life's
Significant matters:
White whispers of purity
Scarlet speaks of sacrifice.
Gray says sorrow.
And green insures hope.
An unlikely message
From an unlikely source.
