The Warring Generals Of Sudan Poem by Ojoo Isaac

The Warring Generals Of Sudan

The Warring Generals of Sudan

Yesterday, they were friends,
Sharing the cake of power together.
"This kind of friendship never ends"
One corpse did whisper.
Today they fight over the cake of power.
Where has their love gone this hour?
Two guns lock horns,
And civilians suffer.
Our piece of peace has torn.
Guns ring the bell
Of peace. We march to hell.
Generals,
Of wars.
Their murals,
Peacefully painted on the walls
Of wars.
