The Wasp Poem by Albert Caylor

The Wasp

Rating: 4.0

Sitting and reading at the pool
Another day in life's school...
Seeking a little sanity and levity

Saw a wasp, swimming in the water,
Trying ever so harder, and harder...
Can't you see, he's just like you and me?

Struggling to escape from the ocean of surroundings,
Wondering if the fight would keep his heart pounding

The wasp keeps on, with another gasp for air
Probably pondering if his plight this day is fair

Again! I realize, the wasp is ME!
Me and the wasp struggle for harmony

I wish for him when suddenly, the wasp takes flight
Soars around me and says...'You Gotta Keep Up The Fight! '

Ahhh...... a life's lesson?

Yeah..., If the wasp can fly
Then....So Can I! ! ! !
