Aren'T We Spirits All The Same Poem by Albert Caylor

Aren'T We Spirits All The Same

The sun rains down it's love and light on all of us
Should we trust?
That you and I live under the same sky and...
Aren't we spirits all the same?

Yellow, brown, and ivory tone
Red and cream...do you dream?
Aren't we spirits all the same?

Corn bread, ribs, rice and greens
Simple things and delicacies of different tastes
Yet, do we realize the waste
The time we spend on ego's hatred of differences?

Wait! Hold on! you say
I'm from a better way
But I ask are we all not made from clay
And aren't we spirits all the same?

I like you, do you like me?
And I wonder and dream if we all climb that same tree of harmony
Or do we break and snatch each others limbs
That all reach out to that same love and light?

So....as our time travels by, you and I
Are we ever going to fly on the wings of love
That challenges us?

To seek and learn
Yes, we all have our turn
To realize in God's eyes
There is love for you and love for me
It really is our destiny

So...why not stop,
Reach out your arms
Smile and call a name
Hello! , may I ask
Aren't We Spirits All The Same?

And I wonder and dream if we all climb that same tree of harmony Or do we break and snatch each others limbs That all reach out to that same love and light? i wish i had understood those three lines better. does limbs refer to tree limbs or human limbs? i give it a good score. thanks for sharing. :) p.s. i like the message.
