The Whisper Poem by uhm.. yeah

The Whisper

'To die would be an awfully big adventure'
I quote Peter Pan in a whisper
Steadily pulled in by darkness's lure
Why haven't the billions succumbed to being eternally numb and ultimately escaping this hell we are from
Where loneliness breeds with the ease of falling rain
And in the least likely places we start to feel pain
Emptiness crawls through my body stemming from my heart
Meaning escapes me and I start to fall apart
What is the point? What's there to seize?
I refuse all religion, refuse to be deceived
Opening up is discouraged by none other than me
I alone must choose to be or not to be.
