The Wicked Fellow Said Poem by Dorsey Baker

The Wicked Fellow Said

Rating: 5.0

I don't want no mirror
Hanging on my wall
Because
It just might show me too much
Of what I really am
The very wicked fellow said
It might look
Right straight through my eyes
And see the evil my heart harbors
It just might show me
The real me
The one that has been hiding
Out of sight out of mind
For such a very long time
I would rather my real self
Remain in the darkness
I don't want no mirror to look in
Afraid of what I might see
If the mirror gets to know me too well
The very wicked fellow said
