The Will Of Capitol Hill Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

The Will Of Capitol Hill

What looked like Capitol Hill's worst ill,
Gets reborn as peoples' voice and will—
Democracy's pillars
Vying with death-dealers,
Imparting lessons to learn uphill!

Poet's note: In a bit of shame for USA, the country saw how a sitting president can harm the cause of democracy. Yet, the country should feel proud that its institutions and people manning them prevailed in the end. This limerick is a sequel to the one titled, The Ill of Capitol Hill'.
