The Wind, Soft and Constant, wraps my soul
The wind, soft and constant, wraps my soul,
Echoing the boundless—all is whole.
The sky, vast and unbroken, wears pure blue,
A shimmering dawn before the world knew.
The stars no longer hide from my gaze,
Each a silent light in night's soft haze.
Which star is not You? Their glow transcends—
You're the light in their light, the song without ends.
A tear slips free, unasked, from my eye,
The wind retrieves it, swift and sly,
Carries its weight before I sigh,
Leaving peace where questions lie.
Desire is strange—it aches, then fades,
Like shadows fleeing dawn's bright blades.
Does absence mourn its hollow guise?
Why seek what never left the skies?
Though distance whispers, "You're apart, "
You're closer than the breath in my heart—
In trembling leaves, in light's descent,
In every pause before breath is spent.
The earth beneath breathes deep, alive,
Each blade of grass declares You thrive.
Roots reach where creation starts,
Branches lift like praying arms.
Birdsong spills, Your voice takes flight,
A melody that shatters night.
The sea roars love's unrestrained creed,
Each wave a vow, each stone a seed.
A child's laugh, Your joy unchained,
Tears of grief, where You've remained—
Fire, water, air, and sod,
You're the pulse in the clays, the breath of God.
A quiet whisper, fleeting, true,
Brings me back to me, to You.
In the end, only Love's refrain—
Eternal, near, through joy and pain.
The wind still blows, soft, unceased,
In its hush, all dualities eased.
I surrender, grasp released:
We were never two—all strife has peace.
