"The Window Kiss" Poem by Jeremy May

"The Window Kiss"

I held you in my hands like a butterfly
All I ever wanted was to love you
I clung to every word you spoke like they where your last
Just being in the same room with you took my breath

While you where away I waited for the door to open so I
could pounce on you like a puppy.
All I ever wanted was to love you
Even the thought of eternity never seemed long enough to be in your presence.

You where my gorgeous little butterfly
All I ever wanted was to love you
You where my safety and my home
....

I can't do this.
It's killing me.
I can't hold you any more
I am opening my hands now.
Fly away little butterfly.
I forgive you.

Love hurts sometimes. But it's all I know.
All I ever wanted was to love you....
