The Woke Craze Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

The Woke Craze

The loud and boisterous have the voice
Equality of outcomes forgets we have the ears
In our silence, we still are able to choose
Intentions matter a lot

Mysteries of this life are past explaining
Many get fooled by the mirage of fame.
Only roll on what you can control
Trust in God and don't exceed your energies.

The binge for the modern hinged
While the Yuan buys itself into the world's future
The progressives are busy confused by the meaning of gender
For the dragon, to its posterity world dominance engender

While we drink beers, meanwhile the red dragon our shores nears
While we spit vile, meanwhile the red dragon makes the mile
While our school system is failing, the red dragon's is excelling
While we snooze, our wealth he loots

Liberalism is rather cringy
As we walk back from the future, the red dragon marches on
We all have our musical instruments, but the dragon has the music
Moreover, where there's one, there's many of them!
