The Woman I See Poem by Nomthi Zoleka Lusiti

The Woman I See

Rating: 5.0

Everything she gets no matter how small it can be
She would stretch it to satisfy everyone around her
She compromises her comfort to accommodate everyone in her life
She would put on a smile even if in pain so others can see hope
She would laugh even when hurting just to keep peace around her
The woman I see is more than a heroine to me.

She would go to sleep with her stomach attached to her back
She would take a bullet or beating to save her loved one
Because not only does she love but also prepared to sacrifice
She may look vulnerable at some times
But is stronger than a beast and smarter than chess player
Because she was created to be the pillar of each home.

An insightful bit of verse on the inherent strength of the woman, well conceived and nicely crafted with conviction. A work of an intricate mind. Thanks for sharing, Nomthi.
