The Word "God" Poem by Kiran Pillai

Have been shy all my life to utter
The word "God".
I been shy to speak of the word "God"
Something told me that was not cool.

I was always scared to speak "God"
Now I take the courage to say "God"
And suddenly I am excited a lot.
I love the word "God" a lot now.

I don't really experience God yet.
I heard God resides within us.
I know God is the overall principle.
Yet, cool kids never speak of "God".

Maybe the conditioning. Maybe rebellion.
I never felt comfortable speaking "God"
I am still feeling resistance within
To speak so of "God" so much already.

Thanks to this poetry that I can speak
So openly of God and be so happy within.
I am uttering the word "God" openly.
Fills my heart with joy and happiness.

I am finding the love of word "God"
I am finding peace in the word "God".
Let the world think what it has to.
I am playing in the team of God.

I am a slave to God and am with God.
I play for God and work for God.
That is so certain now. I am a nut
Call me a religious nut if you want to.

I play with "God" and that is all that matters.
I am with God and surrender myself to God.
I am a God's man and that is all.
I am now loving to utter the word "God"
