The World Doesn't Care Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

The World Doesn't Care

Thinking of life and the day ahead
Is it not over, why does time move so slow?
Am I awake, is this a dream?
this just feel too extreme
Walk in the park to feel some ease
can't catch a break, it wasn't a breeze
Surrounding environment had made me freeze
So many are ill but this isn't a rare disease

the world doesn't seem to care

Why sit around and watch all the suffering?
life is a maze that is often times puzzling
things isn't always what they appear
when looking into their eyes, there is emptiness
Everyday they go without some gentleness
Something that may remind them
There is hope when clouds form don't let the rain muddle your heart

the world doesn't seem to care

There goes the sirens, Lost in the noise
and i am just trying to maintain my poise

the world doesn't seem to care
