The World Needs Love Poem by Adams King

The World Needs Love

Rating: 2.5

Have you broken tribalism?
Rendering it vices paralytic
Have you made fair democracy?
Uniting men in diversity

Is religion still a menace?
That live is bent by it laws
Why forbid such repentance?
To love every man equal

Will politics stop being a game?
Where corrupt dice are thrown
The thief with a high figure played
Mount his mantle upon the throne

Have you put your nation first?
And consider your future seeds
Have you sought to quench our thirst?
And do away with your greed

Do you practice what your preach?
To show kindness to your neighbour
Yet you grew strong and rich
Robbing pennies from the poor

Have you thought of the homeless?
When it rains heavily at night
Have you thought of the hopeless?
Have you bore another's plight

Have you thought of the orphans?
Who has none to call their own
Have you done everything you can?
To be of help to a lonely widow

Have you thought of the destruction
Caused by your missiles and bombs
Have you thought of healing the nation?
Crating more homes and less tombs

Have you ever come to realize
That love is the best gift of all
Only when such truth is visualized
Then will our falling world stand tall
