The Zombies Shot Again
Let the eyes of heaven weep
for justice has gone to sleep
Another innocent blood spilled
another curse upon the country
The demons came with guns
leaving behind tears and blood
Devils in camouflage uniform
military monkeys in manly form
Against the masses you war
defending tyrants with your all
We nurse another immense pain
for the black zombies shot again
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
On the 3rd of July 2021 during the Yoruba national rally in Lagos, a young lady hawker was shot dead by the Nigeria police force, she was killed by a stray bullet, the police took her body away.
