Structured, systematic, cooperation is key
In this hierarchical society
The queen lays the eggs
The workers they slave
The soldiers defend
And the males only mate
They live underground in nests so complex
Built with patience and time, yet destroyed by a step
Being so small
Their only defense
Is to bite those who harm them
Or threaten their nest
They differ in color, either brown, black, or red
Depending on where they frequently tread
It could be the deserts
The plains
Or the mountains
It might even be in our own houses
Although very annoying and sometimes a pain
They strive for perfection through the wind and the rain
Working together
A well-oiled machine
It all gets done
What a wonderful team

Ants have a family type co-operative system and maintain a high sense of discipline in their groups. Man should learn many things from these tiny creatures.
