The World Of Color Poem by Rue Ravenclaw

The World Of Color

A small, rectangular world.
One sheet of paper unfurled.
Nothing but cold, dark, colorless grayscale.
Everything so gloomy, so pale.

Why must this place be so sad?
It should be joyous, exciting, glad!
Exploding with color like fireworks!
There shouldn’t be any darkness that lurks.

A hero! That’s what this place needs!
Someone to help, to do good deeds!
Someone to fill this world to the barrier-
use every last dropp of magic to make it merrier!

Then that hero appeared,
and everyone in the world came out and cheered.
The savior lifted a brush, and paint drip-dropped.
A spectrum of color rained down, drops plopped.

Everyone danced around, fantastic and happy.
Each one splashed in the wonderful magic, not one was sappy.
The grass became green, the sky became blue, everything was filled!
Even from the edge, the magic continued and spilled!

The place was a magical rainbow.
Everywhere color would flow.
This place is like no other-
this place is the World of Color.
