Their Love For Each Other Was Mournful Poem by Dave Bennett

Their Love For Each Other Was Mournful

Their love for each other was mournful
Hidden was how they did feel;
The look in their eyes was scornful,
As love they preferred to conceal

They parted and only encountered
In dreams what they’d put on the shelves
Their lives had long ended and foundered
Yet they didn’t know it themselves
