There Could Be Nothing After This Poem by Aiden Florence

There Could Be Nothing After This

When a phone call comes in at night,
It is an indication that misery is about to strike through your heart

Kick back and relax,
From now on, your losses come back to haunt your life in the form of ghosts.

Break out of this requiem, that’s all you have to do
Go back in time, stop all of this from happening
That’s all you have to do, but you can’t

If you had one more day with him, what would you do?
Will you save him?
Would anything change?

What if all of this wasn’t from animosity?
If this wasn’t from desperation?
Would this still be considered suicide,
Or would my death be committed to your memory forever?

My existence is slowly fading
Can’t you see?
I’m leaving you drowning
In a pool full of misery

This is one of your greatest works. I'll unashamedly say it made me cry. Not because it was dark or anything but because it strikes a chord with me, with whats happening to me and what happened in past. I may be 15 but theres much more to me. Awesome work keep it up!
