There Is A Place - Poem by Melissa Bethke

There's a place I want to go.
A place I can be free and roam.
Where it's just me and no one else.
Where no one can touch me.
I can just be in my bubble.
No one can hurt me.
No one can hear me.
It's just ME.

There's a place I want to go.
Where no one can judge me.
And I can't slip and fall.
No ice surrounding my feet everywhere I go.
Where the sun shines all day long.
No raindrops in the sky.
Just valleys of green grass and fresh air.
Along the ricketing bridge I can walk.
Not caring what happens.
Everything is ok.
No one will have to catch me there.
I will always be safe.
