There Is More To This Bird Poem by Francis Duggan

There Is More To This Bird

In life we never stop learning in truth one can say
And of Nature we learn something new every day
And the more we learn of her the more we come to realize
That of her we know little this not a surprise
The songbird who sings on the high branch of a tree
May just be a bird to you and to me
But there is more to this bird than it's appearance or song
If you say there is not then you have it all wrong
There is more to this bird than we hearand see
Though there are many like you who with this would not agree
Like all other creatures it has ways of it's own
Of Nature and life so much for to be known
And of Nature and life we do learn every day
And that we never stop learning it does seem this way.
