There Is Music In The Silence Poem by Mark Heathcote

There Is Music In The Silence

I write poems almost daily now.
For me, that's why I was given life.
So I could drink this beverage-
in His Elysium fields with butterflies,
live my life beside daylilies and mayflies.

And dance and skate with dragonflies.
Sometimes, I can be (that unobtrusive)
there is music in the silence.
Before any lips are seen in verse,
or thoughts are formed or metered out.
