There Is Something About A Spring Day

Rating: 5.0

There's something about a spring day
Bounteous nature waltzing her way,
It solemnizes my weary soul.

There's something about a spring morn
As if some messiah has been born,
Readying to play some magical role.

There's something about a spring noon
For harrowed mortals a godsend boon,
When bells of heaven verily toll.

There's something about a spring dusk
Carrying sweet fragrance of bitter musk,
With Venus peeping from northern pole.

There's something about a spring night
Yellowed primroses soothing our sight,
Endowments heavens set out to dole.

There's something about springtime joy
Perhaps it is some magical ploy,
Spreading optimism to console.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
SPRINGTIME

Spring is about newness, it is about joy and glory. It puts a music into the vilest of hearts and makes one want to dance with abandon. It is when nature smiles at man and urges that he begin afresh. It is the king of seasons and is peppered with a host of rituals, rites and ceremonies that is held to welcome its sacred steps.
