There's Neither Trust Nor Love - Poem by ntuthuko wesley nkwanyana
In a world that is so full of hatred
where only the fittest survive
where the supremacy of God is debated
and everybody aims to strive.
In a world where love is known
but is never felt with heartfelt serenity
where children can murder in cold blood
through acts of madness and insanity.
In a world where kindness is regret
where what you see is what you get
where everything and everything is about power
where a day and a month feels like an hour.
In a world weakness is disgrace
where empowerment is the building block of face
where nature is an empediment to satisfaction
where the act of removing it is done with passion.
In a world where there's never, ever love
except for what you get from God sitting above
who sends hope in the form of a dove
Nay there's neither trust nor love.
