There's No Such Thing As A Mistake Poem by Raj Dronamraju

There's No Such Thing As A Mistake

Darling, I couldn't be more perceptive but less persuasive
What seems like not thought out acts, random chance is in fact intent delivered in disguise

For Pluto insecurity daggers are aimed at brighter, bigger recognition
From this point on, any outward interactions hide real feelings, real bitterness, real anger

This time when I hurt you
You will feel it because it will be unexpected
This is the cutting angle that cleaves you in half where you stand
When words fail, actions with destruction as their intent succeed

I'm going to call you out while an audience claps and hollers their approval
Show some self-control, acknowledge deliberation, don't hide behind impulse
I publicly condemn you when you don't exhibit candor and use a ditzy voice to call something an accident

A mistake is uncontrollable acted upon subconsicous instability
Fear and doubt poorly hidden in excuse
In the tangible world, I can recognize the decisions the body carries out on their own
