There Were The Lips You Kissed Poem by Miroslava Odalovic

There Were The Lips You Kissed

You kissed but for a day
And eyes glittering hope of the future
That there was no time to fulfill

There were the hours you counted
You counted but for a day
And they slipped away into the next dawn
And you were left alone

There were the eyes you met
You met and knew but for a day
That told you everything about the eyes
And a vision long haunting into dust

There were the paths you walked
You walked but for a day
And the paths turned the day
Into the life long journey
Now travel and hope for some more time
