These days I stroll, no longer run
I count my lucky stars and just have fun
A walk across the park is bliss for me
Occasional rest beneath a lilac tree
Taking in the fragrance, I recall
The blossoms that had faded in the fall
I sit and stare in awe at nature's pleasures
These things are good for me, they are new treasures
I'm drawn to everything I once ignored
The things in life I thought were always flawed
No longer do I feel the need to worry
I take things in my stride, and seldom worry
I sometimes need to walk all on my own
To places that for years I hadn't known
And when I reach the peace I seek to find
There will be nothing left within my mind
