In this early morning hour, these stars are just amazing
Floating freely in the blue sky,
like some careless ships of Light in sleeping blue
Gentle soft in their eyes,
watching everything below through a bird's curiosity
Some are diamonds, some rubies, crystal whites are many,
a few are shy,
like a fading spot on eternal sky
Citizens of my universe.
They wonder when a nigh puts everything into a slumber
A teenager's heart throbs at first sight of his first love, that
joy sumptuous never abandons his heart,
remains there like a flame in meditation,
for all his life,
like a fountainhead for hope and despair,
for love and hate,
whilst everything just passes by - unnoticed, uncaring;
Inside these stars, that joy
vibrates in glory, joy that forever twinkles
Reminds a soul always about his first love
The undying sigh of a grieved wish.

Wow, Shamik, this is truly great, I like it. What a nice composing of words and your way in writing. Especially your idea, you're right, these stars are just amazing
Shamik, This poem is amazing too. Such picturesque descriptions of the sky with all the jewels and a few are shy. This really touched my heart. The second stanza on first love is all wonderful too as I know most people never forget their first love. A gift indeed for life. 10 love Karin
This is really a beautiful poem, Shamik, full of wonderful imagery and similes. The title is very spontaneous and reflects the amazing truth of universe...10/10. Regards Naseer

In this poem you have very nicely immortalised the memories of 'first love'! 10! You may feel amused when I tell you that when I tried to recall about first love, - there were a few, but all were infatuations now I find, looking back with hindsight! -Raj
